Interview with filmmaker Tendai F. Tagarira

Generation Do Porn will premier at the Straight-Jacket Guerrilla Film Festival

How did you get into making films?
My literature was censored by the "Cancel Culture" and the need to continue telling my point of view saw me migrate to the medium of film as a powerful avenue to exercise my freedom of speech in a time of great censorship.

*What inspired you to make your movie?
There is a lot of injustice and criminality hidden in the porn industry and that compels me to expose it through film, in solidarity with countless victims of sex trafficking.

*How has your style evolved?
I do not know what style evolution is. I leave that for the film audience to discuss.

*Tell us any strange or funny stories while making the film?
The only strange thing is the glorification of porn in our culture when the evidence points to the serious harm it causes.

*The Misrule Film Movement & Pink8 manifesto bring what to mind?
I leave that question for the minds of the film audience.

*What can we expect from your next film?
The Naked Inconvenient Truth.
