CHAOTIC CINEMA - 'LOON' A CURSED MASTERPIECE [WATCH FREE]

When the director decides to use as the soundtrack to his new film an album recorded at the cursed Boleskine house, previously owned by the notorious magician Aleister Crowley and then Led Zeppelin's virtuoso guitarist Jimmy Page, you know that the sweet sinful life is on the horizon.

We'll have to wait and see how the film Loon divides audiences, and what intellectual debates will materialise over the films topics on family, obsession, abuse, racism, homophobia and Brexit. But what this experimental chaotic tale is really designed to show is a sick twisted family saga that could be happening right next door to you - they could even be your very own neighbour.

Ladies and gentlemen meet the Sheen family.

A spectacle machine is never a good neighbour. Their teenage son Charlie is both goofy and violent, but his racist/homophobic perspective is driven by his twin obsession of becoming a superstar drummer like his idol Keith Moon, which is matched by his uncontrolled passion for his batshit crazy but sensuous older cousin, Georgia.

The director Fabrizio Federico is very quiet but also very funny and slightly unusual, the whole nutcase thing came from him smoking pot because he didnt really have a temper before that. ''I just say how things make me feel, I hate being let down and I lose it sometimes, other then that Im happy to chill and see what happens.''
He's a very ambitious person and see's underground & experimental cinema being appreciated by a much younger international audience. ''Im giving the audience the benefit of the doubt, Im guessing if you're into my films your a bit wild to begin with'', ''a family can be like a war zone, only these characters dont care about landing on a mine.''

Getting that buzz-film reputation, Fabrizio is as much an intriguing character as his films, with a dark depth to them concerning shamanism, reincarnation, sex and addiction, they also have that pop-culture pulse beat that early Tarantino and Korine bring to cinema. That vivid film geek quality, except instead of being into genre films he's into cinematic anarchy.

Dark Side of Cinema

Since 1878 (which = 6) the birth of cinema has danced with many partners, splintering the art of filmmaking down many different paths, similar to how tarot cards, the Qabalah and other jaberwockery that was persecuted on its first introduction. But from its birth certain filmmakers have brought to the table a more tribal Wicca ingredient to mystic filmmaking. Especially proponents of the counterculture.

"Do what thou wilt shall be the whole of the Law''
Aleister Crowley

Exploring insanity, ecstasy, nihilism, dreams, carnal and occult practices, their subjects and topics are far far away from mainstream cinema, prefering to create a visual approximation to eternity.

Tapping into an energy similar to a UFO that on first viewing may seem alien, but there lies its true magick, and rewards. Many consider these films avant garde, spacey and cosmic, with goo-goo sights and third eye disturbed states of minds, but altered states of consciousness have always pushed the boundaries of creativity.
Showing a way of life beyond the artificial veil of a fake plastic society and displays the divine Babylon of life. With such tools as ESP, ley lines, hexagrams, sitars, astral travel, Eastern mysticism, past lives, LSD and other supernatural invocations. An impending apocalypse at the crossroads of cinema was bound to be introduced to open minded audiences, almost as a form of telepathy classes into the unknown.

These filmmakers guide the viewer in the same manner as a healer would. Creating a rhythm of sound and vision that a shaman, sorcerer or witch doctor would be proud of. In their films all the children are insane, on the edge of the city, ''I was in a German psychiatric clinic when I received inspiration to go out and make a film, and it healed me'' says the youngest filmmaker Fabrizio Federico in our list.

Here are some of their spells:

Rosemary's Baby (1968)

Loon (2017)

Out of the Blue (1980)

     Mister Lonely (2008)

El Topo (1970)

   Lucifer Rising (1974)

 Performance (1970)

Pregnant directed by Fabrizio Federico

The 2nd feature film Pregnant by Fabrizio Federico is nearing completion.

While recently discussing the film he talked to us about ''tackling the subject of living with death as an immediate danger, to divorce oneself from society, to exist without roots, and to set out on that uncharted journey with the imperatives of self''.

Pregnant is about finding salvation by whatever means necessary (insanity, spiritualism, addiction, fun, death) and reflecting on the stagnation of society's spiritual growth in the 21th century, and on the growing concern towards people's addiction to technology.

He is calling it a 'Pop Art Symphony for Film'. This sensibility of mixing topics such as Sensory Perception, Shamanic medicine dancing, different states of consciousness, and the lack of tribal initiation in modern society culminates in a movie showcasing enlightened anarchy.
